Super star Rajinikanth, admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai, was shifted to a private ward from the intensive care unit (ICU) on Sunday (May 22) evening, a hospital bulletin said.

According to the bulletin, Rajinikanth "…been shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit to a private ward this evening (Sunday). He is cheerful and is spending time with all the family members and is watching (the IPL) cricket match keenly. His vital parameters are stable. However, visitors are strictly not allowed, as per doctors’ advice."

Manchu Manoj is all set to get married

Mohanbabu's younger son Manchu Manoj is all set to get married. The girl is from a political family. Her dad is a now TDP leader who recently contested from Praja Rajyam Party ticket in Rangareddy district.

Mohanbabu family is keeping the name of the girl a secret for now. Reliable sources say she is pursuing her final year engineering in Hyderabad and once she finishes her studies, Manoj will marry her. The bride's family originally hails from Guntur district.

"Yes my younger brother Manoj's wedding has been fixed. The marriage will be only an year later. She is a very nice girl and suits our family well. Manoj is busy with 'Ookodathara Ulikkipadathara' which will be produced by me and he will get married to her only after an year from now " Lakshmi Manchu told media.

Sekhar Kammula at Cannes!

Shekar kammula a very sensible director who made excellent movie in his direction has been invited to be a guest on behalf of Natinol Film Development Corporation ( NFDC)in the Cannes film festival this year.

In the festival NFDC is going to promote 6 talented Indian film makers and shekar kammula was one among them and the remaining are Anurag Kashyap (Dev D Gulal), Dibakar Banarjee (Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Love Sex Aur Dokha), Anusha Rizvi (Peepli Live), Laximikant Shetgaonkar (Paltadacho Munis), and Haobam Paban Kumar (AFSPA 1958).Shekar kammula made us proud by standing as only director from Telugu film industry.

This is the first time nfdc is promoting Indian directors and in this process the selected directors will be introduced through a series of meetings and networking events at the India Pavilion in the international village.

Hundreds of movie makers,actors,directors,producers and production houses will be participating in this festival and the major points discussed will be about changes happening in the making of films world wide and solutions to that will be discussed.The festival is from may 11th to may 22nd.
