Season 5 of Indian Idol started with a bang on Monday. Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog that the hopes, aspirations, victory and defeat of the young “would move any human”. Big B accepted that he was indeed touched by the contestants while watching Indian Idol. And also the fact that he watches the show with “great interest and expectations”.

Two episodes over and the excitement has already started on the show. With judges Anu Malik, Sunidhi Chauhan and Salim Merchant pulling each other’s legs, the entertainment has just begun. Victory Venkatesh, who was busy cheering for Deccan Chargers in IPL, has signed a deal with Manappuram General Finance and Leasing Ltd (MAGFIL). He is the new brand ambassador of gold loan company for Andhra Pradesh. This is his first official brand endorsement and the company thinks that his reputation helps to promote the brand.

MAGFIL, one of the Largest listed company of India, has 1000 branches in India. It has the customer of 550,000 and a staff strength over 6,500. It has also signed Kannada actor Puneet Rajkumar and Malayalam actor Mohanlal as their Brand Ambassadors for Kerala and Karnataka.

Pawan’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’ shooting starts from June 1st

Imtiaz Ali’s Bollywood blockbuster Love Aaj Kal is remaking in Telugu with Hero Pawan Kalyan and that was launched recently in Hyderabad. The regular shooting of the movie will start from June 1st onwards. Jayanth C Paranji is directing the film and the film is being produced by Ganesh Babu under the banner Parameswara Arts. Love Aaj Kal proved to be a smash hit in Bollywood, grossing over Rs. 63 crores in India and abroad.

This was evident at the press conference of Zara Nachke Dikha 2, a show which Shilpa is adjudicating. Shilpa and her hubby Raj Kundra are among the co-owners of IPL team Rajasthan Royals. As always, some scribe came up with a weird query. This time the lady was asked why her hubby isn’t there in the show.

Hiding her displeasure over the question, Shilpa looked towards Star India EVP marketing and communications Anupam Vasudev and sighed, “Star Plus cannot afford my hubby (laughs). With the money that’s on offer, the channel can only afford me (itne paise mein, main hi aaongi).”

On serious note she adds, ‘No, he won’t be coming on the stage anytime.” Shilpa’s jokes didn’t end here. Later on, her co-judge Vaibhavi Merchant was answering a query on how big or better the show is, Shilpa butted in to say, “Apart from what Vaibhavi mentioned, people and we too as judges are curious to know what Rakhi Sawant will say this time and what new drama will she create.”

Couldn’t agree more with you Shilpa! The firebrand Rakhi will certainly be up to her dramatics all over again.

But she was unable to attend that function and she was not returned the advance money also.

She has been dodging them and finally the shopkeeper decided to approach the Court of Law. We are aware of the speed at which our courts function. It took 5yrs for the court to provide the judgment. The judgment was that the actress will have to pay back the advance money with a fine amount of Rs.25 Lakhs to the shopkeeper.

Five Heroines to Pair with Victory Venkatesh in Chandramukhi 2

It is already known that Victory Venkatesh is going to star in ‘Chandramukhi -2’ that will be directed by P Vasu, the director of Rajinikanth’s blockbuster ‘Chandramukhi.’ It will be the remake of Kannada blockbuster ‘Aptharakshaka.’ Bellamkonda Suresh is producing the film under Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner. Shooting is expected to begin in May.

The latest buzz about the film is that as per the story requirement the film needs five heroines. Anushka will be playing the lead female role. Kamilinee Mukherjee, Shradda Das, Richa Gangopadyaay and Poonam Kaur are said to be in consideration for four other characters. Complete details of the film are yet to be known.
