After hosting Bigg Boss 2 and judging the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Shilpa Shetty Kundra takes on another reality show — IPL Rockstars — as celebrity judge. The actress is being paid a whopper for it.

Says Shilpa, "I can only say that I am judging a reality show (and no more) at this point."

The weekend show began last week on Colors and the actress joins as celebrity judge this week. She will judge the contestants for their stage presence and ability to shine as a true rockstar.

Says a source, "IPL Rockstar required a star connected to the Indian Premier League and Shilpa signed on."

Sukhwinder Singh and Kailash Kher are the other two judges on IPL Rockstar with Hard Kaur as host. Its contestants include participants of music reality shows like Sandeep Acharya and Rahul Saxena (Indian Idol), Yashita Yashpal Sharma (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa) besides others.

The channel aims to blend the nation’s biggest passions — cricket along with music by having 12 talented singers competing to be the IPL Rockstar 2010.

Ileana charges 1.10 crores for ‘Tom and Jerry’

Ileana is said to be charging a remuneration of Rs.1.10 crores. The hot actress has been roped in for a film under the banner ‘Sravanthi Movies‘ with Sravanthi Ravi Kishore as the producer. Young hero Ram is playing the male lead in the film. Surender Reddy who has given a blockbuster hit ‘Kick’ in 2009 with Ileana is directing this film also.

The movie is tentatively titled as ‘Tom and Jerry’ and Ileana is said to be charging a whopping sum of Rs.1.10 crores for 65 days of shooting.

Priyanka Chopra’s Twitter obsession has been curbed. And it’s all owing to her latest film producer Sajid Nadiadwala who has banned the actress from posting any kind of information on the social networking site.

So while most filmmakers are still looking for ways to approach their actors on the issue, Nadiadwala has taken stringent steps to assure that no member of the cast or the crew will leak any kind of details about his project ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ on any networking site.

The producer took the strict decision after he saw a constant inflow of pictures and information being put up on the said site. And with his both lead actors Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor being active users of the site, Sajid had little choice but to impose his will.

Confirming the news, Sajid told a daily, “I actually took the decision to forbid my cast and crew from putting any information on websites after an incident that happened with Sajid Khan, my director of ‘Housefull’. We were doing a photo-session with the film’s stars. We weren’t even finished and Sajid Khan had already put one of the pictures on the site. I was horrified. That’s when I decided it was time to make the confidentiality clause a legal issue in all my contracts.”

Regretting the lack of privacy among stars, Sajid further added, “I remember when my father produced JP Dutta’s Ghulami, we’d stand outside Dharmendra’s van for hours waiting for him to emerge so we could see what he wore, how he styled his hair, what watch he had on, etc. Today the stars volunteer all this information on the social networks even before the director takes his first shot. I think all of us need to make confidentiality compulsory for every film."

Varun Sandesh says It's not always about the money

Varun Sandesh, the young upcoming star, already has a few enemies, all out to slander his reputation, or so he believes. Denying allegations that he demands hefty fees, Varun says, "Recently, I refused some films and some gossip-mongers went around saying that my refusal was based on the fact that the producers were not paying what I asked for. The truth is, I could not provide the required dates to some of the producers, who approached me. And there were some films I refused because I simply did not like the script. I never say ‘no’ to producers otherwise, and money has never been the criterion– what matters is the script, and, of course, the character that I am supposed to enact."

Varun’s latest film, Maro Charitra, is due for release soon. The film is a rehashed remake of the earlier Maro Charitra which starred Kamal Haasan. In this version, Varun plays an NRI, and the entire unit was convinced that the role was tailor-made for him. By his own admission, he earned the image of a lover-boy after his role in Happy Days, but it was his performance in Kurradu, which boosted his career. “I am not afraid of failure,” says Varun, “there is a healthy competitive atmosphere in the Telugu film industry. It gets tough sometimes with the entry of new stars from film star families, but there are always producers who are willing to work with talented, new artistes.”

Ram to mesmerize as a 60-year-old man

Ram, who made his debut with Devadasu is trying to bring out the real actor in him by doing different roles. Already he won the hearts of the children with Spiderman and Superman get-ups in his films. Now, he is donning the role of a 60-year-old man. Presently, he is playing hero in Rama Rama Krishna Krishna and this role would be a part of his character. For the first time, Ram is playing the role of a police officer in this film.

The film was shot in and around Rajahmundry for about 70 days, away from any kind of publicity. During the shooting, Ram felt thrilled with one incident. After wearing the make-up of an old man, Ram came out of the shooting spot and moved around in Rajahmundry streets, but none could identify him. This incident proved two points — Will Ram mesmerised the people with his performance by totally involving in the character or the expertise of the make-up man to mould him in such a way that no one could identify him.

Let us wait till the release of the film i.e., by the end of April, to find out the reason. One more interesting point to note here is that this film is the 200th film for Keeravani as music director.

Chadalawada Srinivasrao has filed a cheating case on director Teja in Jubilee Hills police station under sections 420, 448 , 506.In that petition he mentioned that Teja has occupied his residence in Jubilee Hills.

Director Teja who owns a house in Road number 45 near Balakrishna’s house claimed that Chadalavada Srinivas Rao is trying to take his valued at around 9 crores house by force. He said that he never sold the house to anyone.
However Chadalavada has a different story to offer. He claims that he has documents to prove that Teja sold the house to him around 4 months back.

Chadalavada reminded that around 4 months back, he removed the air-conditioners and other things from the house since he is the new owner. "If he didn’t sell the house to me then why didn’t he complain when I was removing his air-conditioners and other things from his house. Now he claims that he didn’t sell the house." he claimed.

The much-hyped film Anjaana Anjaani starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra has run into trouble with its choreographers Ravi K Chandran and Ahmed Khan at loggerheads. It is reported that they had a heated spat on the sets of the film in the US, forcing Ahmed to fly back to India

Sources said that differences cropped up between the choreographers while shooting for the songs of Anjaana Anjaani, as Ravi didn’t like the camera angles and shots Ahmed wanted. They got into a heated argument after having differences for a few days.

Hero Raja Suicide Attempt

Hero Raja complained to the state HRC (Human Rights Commission) against the big producers. He said that he is getting threats from exhibitors saying that his recent release Inkosari will be taken out from the theatres soon. Along with the producer of the film, Raja filed a petition in States Human Rights Association.  Latter producer said that Raja even tried to commit suicide over this issue before filing the petition. It is said that the Human Rights Commission’s Judge yet to accept the petition as the case doesn’t fall under in its circle.

Shahid Kapoor’s fans reportedly broke a stage as they rushed to get their pictures taken with him.The actor had to be rescued by members of the organising committee before he was crushed by his own fans, according to Mid Day.

Reports suggest that Kapoor had been promoting a brand of jeans at an event in Delhi when the incident happened. Organisers had apparently invited. Some competition winners to join Kapoor.
